The Next Cloud is testing the waters and shaping the foundation for a Sovereign Edge AI ecosystem, with plans to mature this into a formal program in 2026.

Our work so far focuses on:

Framing how networks, edge compute, AI models, APIs, and sovereignty come together to create the next phase of enterprise AI.

2. Ecosystem Engagement

Early conversations with telcos, CPaaS platforms, infrastructure providers, and global technology companies show strong interest and a clear need for direction.

3. Advisory & Use-Case Exploration

Outlining what “Model as a Service” could look like in a telco-enabled world, including enterprise-grade, low-latency model execution and integration with communication platforms and network APIs.

4. Hardware + Software Layer Integration

A key pillar of the approach is the role of a technology partner that brings both the hardware acceleration stack and the model/software layer needed for real-time, enterprise-grade inference.

This combination is essential for making sovereign AI operational at scale.

5. Thought Leadership & Momentum

Content published in 2025 around sovereign and edge AI has become some of our most shared and discussed work, attracting significant engagement from senior leaders across the AI, telco, enterprise, and infrastructure worlds.

Although still exploratory, the signals are strong:
